PRESIDENT OBAMA VISIT
“On Wednesday, August 18, 2010, President B. Obama will be attending a fundraiser at the Fontainebleau Hotel located at 4441 Collins Avenue on Miami Beach. It is anticipated that the Presidents arrival will be after 4 p.m. Residents and visitors should be aware that there will intermittent street closures on 41st as the Presidential motorcade crosses from the Causeway to Collins Avenue and vice versa. 41st Street will reopen as soon as the motorcade has completely cleared the street.
Residents and visitors should also expect more congestion then normal on Collins Avenue from 41st to 46th Street throughout the day due to the set up for this event. Large vehicles will not be allowed to stop in front of the Fontainebleau during the President’s visit.
An alternative to avoid this area are Alton Road and Pinetree Drive.
